Last weekend, April 9-12 in Lüterkofen (SO), under the slogan “The Magic One” the Butterlan organizers celebrated the 11th edition of one of the most popular LAN parties in Switzerland.

In terms of Swiss E-Sports Butterlan 11 was an equally special occasion as PolyLAN on the weekend before. Butterlan’s main tournament in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive was the second qualifier for the 2015 Swiss Nationals playoffs, taking place coming December at the anniversary edition of the Netgame Convention.

Netgame, which is aiming for 1000 gamers and shall be the largest Swiss LAN party of the year, will be the stage for the 2015 Swiss Nationals playoffs. The eight best Swiss CSGO teams, which qualified for the playoffs throughout the year, will duel for the inheritance of Red Instinct, Swiss CSGO Champion 2014.

For a change, it was the Swiss-German teams having their turn at Butterlan 11, to try and conquer a spot in the Swiss Nationals’ playoffs. In the grand finale of the tournament, which lasted late into the night, it was, which after falling behind 0:2, could finally turn the tides and win 3:2 over SILENTGAMING Hawks. Nevertheless, both teams may look forward to the playoffs.

Including the reigning Swiss champion Red Instinct, ENCORE-GAMING, which finished second behind the already qualified Red Instinct at PolyLAN 25, and the two teams from the grand finale at Butterlan, and SILENTGAMING Hawks, we have now a total of four teams which are already qualified for the playoffs in December.

And coming up next weekend is already the next chance to qualify. At Wesports LAN #10, April 17-19 in Bussigny-prés-Lausanne (VD) the winner of the CSGO tournament will be reward yet another starting place at the playoffs.
