Over the easter weekend, April 3 – 6, almost 1000 gamers gathered at the spectactular Swiss Tech Concention Center in Lausanne (VD) for PolyLAN 25. Thus far the largest Swiss LAN party of the year was host to the first qualifier tournament for the 2015 Swiss Nationals in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. The winner of the CS:GO tournament at PolyLAN wins one (1) out of eight slots available in the playoffs of the Swiss championship this December at NetGame Convention.

Once more it was the Line-Up of the team Red Instinct that came out on top of the tournament. A team which has already made quite a name within the Swiss LAN scene. However, as reigning Swiss champion team Red Instinct is already set for the playoffs at NetGame. It is the runnerup team, the French organization ENCORE-GAMING, who’s Line-Up of Swiss players inherits the slot. The in this case “unlucky” third place was secured by team Megaballers.

The next chance to qualify for the playoffs already awaits the teams this coming weekend at Butterlan Edition 11 – The Magic One, April 9-12 in Lüterkofen (SO). At Butterlan, both the winner as well as the runner-up each win one (1) slot at the playoffs.

And just one week after Butterlan, it is at Wesports LAN #10, April 17-19 in Bussigny-près-Lausanne (VD), where the winner of the CS:GO tournament wins yet another slot for the 2015 Swiss Nationals playoffs.

After this, the decision over the three remaining slots, is made at another LAN party later this year, which is not yet announced, and at Netgame Convention itself.
