In the face of the events of this first semester of 2020, which are being marked by the worldwide outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the SESF decided to make a commitment to help the people in need.
The federation will be broadcasting a special charity event on Twitch to help Médecins Sans Frontières in their efforts to aid those affected the most by these difficult times.
- The broadcast will be held on CSG-TV and Esports.ch on the 27th of June 2020, from 14.00 to 22:00
- The event will see two teams of swiss esport players and streamers compete on 5 different games (Valorant, League of Legends, FIFA, Retimed and Dark Souls), and in a gaming quiz!
- The event will also include a Talk show about “esports’ visions and future perspectives in Switzerland” with a special roster of guests.
Beginning of the Event
ABOUT THE PRODUCTION OF THE EVENT
This Event is made possible by the joint forces of 18 esport organisations across the entire country, who are being revealed on our Twitter following the announcement of the event!
For this 100% remotely managed event, three organisations, Commentary Swiss Gaming (CSG-TV), Estudios and Esports.ch, worked very hard to solve the technical challenges imposed by a fully remote production. CSG–TV in particular will take care of the entire production on the day of the event, a quite important task which is being handled with the proper professionalism by a very skilled and passionate team.
Thanks to them, and the rest of the dedicated staff who helped them in this gargantuan task, the SESF will be able to offer a high-quality streaming event despite the difficulties that everyone is experiencing in this moment of History.
ABOUT MEDECINS SANS FRONTIERES
Médecins Sans Frontières is an international and independent humanitarian organisation who provides medical assistance to people affected by conflicts, epidemics, catastrophes or who are excluded from proper healthcare.
In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, they created an emergency fund to answer the spread of the epidemic and support health professionals in more than 60 countries.
At the SESF, we profoundly believe that it is the role of a federation to bring the community together to prove once more that, if we unite, nothing is undoable. As gamers we have the strength of the numbers, and we will take the opportunity to help the rest of the world with seriousness and dedication.
