The General Secretariat of the International e-Sports Federation (IeSF) has just officially communicated the period and host city of their World Championship 2017. After reviewing all applications and evalutating the options, the Board of the IeSF has decided that the 9th e-Sports World Championship shall take place November 8-12 in Busan, Korea. Busan is the second largest city of Korea right after Seoul and also the domicile of the IeSF headquarters which was moved from Seoul to Busan earlier this year. 

The Board has also decided a preliminary list of preferred game titles for the World Championship. The IeSF’s secretarait will now have to secure the according licenses from the publishers and IP holders. The preliminary pick of the preferred titles has been communicated to the members of the IeSF in private but won’t be communicated officially to the public until the licenses were secured. Nonetheless, the member federations of the IeSF may now proceed with their preparations for their national qualifiers and the participation of their country in the 9th e-Sports World Championship, November 8-12 in Busan, Korea.
