Official statement on the cancellation of the “Take the Throne” Event

The Swiss Esports Federation (SESF) is deeply saddened by the cancellation of the “Take the Throne” tournament, which was scheduled to take place on November 23 in Geneva.

This event promised to be a landmark occasion for Swiss Esports, bringing together top teams, fans, and partners to celebrate our ecosystem in an inclusive and positive environment.

We understand Team BDS’s decision to cancel the event, and condemn the individual discriminatory statements which led to it. Yet, we believe that no one individual’s opinions should overshadow the commitment and passion of the hard working people that were behind the organization of this event. We would like to thank everyone at team BDS, and at every other partner, who gave their all this past year towards making this happen. We see you and hope there will be other opportunities in the near future.
